It’s no surprise that the Yorkshire seaside town, famed for its Gothic abbey which inspired Bram Stoker’s Dracula, topped Sykes Holiday Cottages’ list. Whitby offers everything you need for the perfect UK break or staycation: a wonderful Blue Flag beach, some of the best fish and chips around and plenty of history.
