Day 1: Fly in from Sydney to Port Vila (ask us for connecting flights to Sydney!). The approximately three-hour flight gives you enough time to catch a nap, sneak in a few episodes of Netflix or a good few chapters of a book. Once you’ve landed, meet our friendly local resort representative who will help you aboard the air-conditioned coach and head towards the resort, which is just 15 minutes away.

Check in, take a soothing shower and stroll around the two-acre resort. The next four days are at your disposal to make is as exciting or relaxed as possible. The resort sits on the edge of one of the most beautiful stretches of waters in Vanuatu; the Erakor Lagoon is crystal-clear and is great for swimming, snorkelling and kayaking. Its pristine beaches are also great for walks or reading another few chapters of the book under the shade of swaying coconut tree. The resort’s helpful tour desk also advises on tours and activities which you can opt for. Our suggestion – take the Congoola day cruise which will take you to some of the best coral reefs to snorkel in, hopping around beautiful coves and beaches, visiting a baby turtle conservation centre and feed the friendly fish flitting around the boat.

The town centre is just five minutes away and is worth a visit any time and any day. It’s markets, museums, gardens, restaurants and pubs are a cultural melting-pot and are a sensory treat. The resort also has a great spa with traditional and modern therapies and massage to choose from. For suggestions on what to do in and around Vanuatu, just call us – our travel experts will be more than happy to talk to you! Don’t feel like cooking in? Head towards the resort’s in-house restaurant and check out its specials. Its chefs have a fresh take on local as well as international cuisine and has gotten excellent reviews from its patrons.

Day 6: Check out of the hotel and bid a fond adieu to the friendly resort staff. A local rep will be there to help you aboard the coach headed for the international airport. Have a safe flight back home and make plans for visiting again.
